Founded in 1987 by Mr. G. Prakasan, UMAC  has been a steadfast pillar in the aerospace, defense, and aircraft industries for over three decades. From modest beginnings to becoming a trusted leader in high-reliability electronics and avionics, UMAC’s journey has been driven by innovation, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

In 2005, UMAC took a major step forward with the opening of its international office in Singapore, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion and strengthening its worldwide collaborations.

As we celebrate 38 years of excellence, we express our sincere gratitude to our valued customers—including ISRO, HAL, DRDO, and numerous defense and aerospace organizations. Your trust, support, and partnership have been the cornerstone of our success. We also extend heartfelt thanks to our global suppliers and partners, whose continued collaboration has empowered us to deliver world-class solutions consistently across borders.

Our journey toward international collaboration began in 1997 with our first overseas partnership with ATNE, France, a pivotal step in expanding our global footprint. Since then, we have proudly built successful partnerships with leading European manufacturers including SMP, ELTA, ECA Aerospace, EXAIL, IXBLUE, CELESTIA Antwerp, and others.

These partnerships have significantly strengthened our capabilities in Telemetry Systems, Tracking Solutions, and RF & Microwave technologies—key areas in supporting critical aerospace and defense programs. The advanced systems and collaborative spirit of our partners have helped us deliver high-reliability solutions to some of the most demanding sectors.

Reaffirming our commitment to ‘Make in India’ and excellence in indigenous capability, UMAC launched UMAC HiRel Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. in 2021. This venture is dedicated to manufacturing RF & Microwave products, as well as precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for aircraft and helicopters—further cementing UMAC’s role in India’s growing aerospace and defense ecosystem.
